4. Data collection on our website
Server log files
The website provider automatically collects and stores information that your browser automatically transmits to us in "server log files". These are:

• Host name of the accessing computer

• IP address
These data will not be combined with data from other sources.
The basis for data processing is Art. 6 (1) (f) DSGVO, which allows the processing of data to fulfill a contract or for measures preliminary to a contract.
Contact form
Should you send us questions via the contact form, we will collect the data entered on the form, including the contact details you provide, to answer your question and any follow-up questions. We do not share this information without your permission.
We will, therefore, process any data you enter onto the contact form only with your consent per Art. 6 (1)(a) DSGVO. You may revoke your consent at any time. An informal email making this request is sufficient. The data processed before we receive your request may still be legally processed.
We will retain the data you provide on the contact form until you request its deletion, revoke your consent for its storage, or the purpose for its storage no longer pertains (e.g. after fulfilling your request). Any mandatory statutory provisions, especially those regarding mandatory data retention periods, remain unaffected by this provision.
5. Analytical tools and advertising
5.1 Web analytics using Matomo (previously PIWIK)
5.1.1 Scope of personal data processing
Our website uses the open-source software tool Matomo, previously known as PIWIK, to analyse how our website is being used. The software will store a cookie on your device; see below for details on cookies. The following data will be stored when you visit our website:
(1) Two bytes of the IP address allocated to the system accessing our website
(2) The website accessed
(3) The referrer website that linked you to our website
(4) Pages viewed from the website accessed
(5) Duration of visit on our website
(6) Frequency of visits on our website
The software will only run on the servers hosting our website. Your personal data will only be stored on these servers. We will not transfer your personal data to third parties.
The software is configured so as not to store complete IP addresses, but only two bytes from the IP address with the other two masked as the following example shows: 192.168.xxx.xxx. Shortening the IP address in this way renders it untraceable to any particular device accessing the website.
5.1.2 Legal basis for personal data processing
We process your personal data on the legal basis of GDPR Art. 6.1 (f).
5.1.3 Purpose of data processing
We process your personal data to analyse how visitors are using our website. Evaluating the data places us in a position to compile information on how the individual components of our website are being used. This helps us continuously improve our website and its usability, and reflects our legitimate interest in processing the data according to GDPR Art. 6.1 (f). Anonymising your IP address fulfils the purpose of serving your interests in having your personal data protected.
5.1.4 Storage duration
Your personal data will be deleted once the purpose of collection no longer applies. In our case, this point is reached after 180 days.
5.1.5 Right to revocation and objection
Cookies will be stored on your device, which will send the cookies back to us. You as a user the full control of whether cookies are used. You may deactivate or limit cookie transmission by using the corresponding options in your browser settings. You may delete cookies already stored at any time manually or set your browser up to delete them automatically.
